Abilene, TX

I visited Abilene, TX back in July for the weekend (I know, I know, I’m HORRIBLE at updating this blog, but I promise I’ll get better!). I went to the downtown area and a few places out of the way to get some interesting shots. Let’s just say Abilene has some weird stuff. I mean really weird stuff.

Such as this wonderful possessed horse statue. No, it’s not weird at all.

Besides a few strange items like the above, there were some other really cool architectural things. There’s just lots to see downtown.

Can you see the happy face in this next photo?

And to contrast all the pretty things downtown, there were even a few abandoned motels (if you know me at all, you know I LOVE abandoned things!).

The Sahara Motel

While walking around I came upon a random Big Bird toy:

I was extremely happy with this trip and took a lot of photos. You can see the full Flickr set here.
